The iPad is a line of Tablet PC designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. primarily as a platform for media such as books, magazines, movies, music, games and web content. Its size and weight is between contemporary smartphones and laptops. The iPad is running the same operating system as the iPod Touch and iPhone, and can run their own applications and applications for the iPhone.
